You can make it

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.  Matthew 6:33

The words “all these things” in the verse refer to things Jesus has mentioned earlier in the chapter. Verse 25 quotes Jesus saying, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

In verse 26, Jesus adds that God feeds the birds who are not as valuable to God as his children are. In verses 27-31, Jesus points out that God clothes the plant life so why would he not cloth you? In verses 31-32, Jesus continues with, “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For … your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”

The words of Jesus are very comforting when one faces the possibility of no assurance of having these essential necessities of life.

In verse 33, Jesus explains how we can be assured of having food, drink and clothing with the words:

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Being certain of having these basic necessities of life seems so simple. We must seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. How do we do that? Those who live out their oneness with Christ seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness without even trying.

Both now and in coming days the truths spoken by Jesus will be spoken by you to hearts hungry for them.

The grace that sends the revival will also equip us to face whatever comes our way.
