GUIDANCE FOR THE DAY

Each day of our lives is filled with enormous possibilities for good. And each day presents special opportunities for blessing from the Lord. But how can we get the most out of each day for God’s glory, for blessings to others, and fulfillment for ourselves?

Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Remember the revealing words of Ephesians 2:10:

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

God has planned each of your days ahead of time. The God Who is love has planned a day of fulfillment for you; He has planned a day of blessing to others through you; He has planned a day of honoring and glorifying Himself through you.

When the Bible speaks of our being “led by the Spirit,” it implies that the Spirit will be talking all the time. Our place is to listen and respond to His leading.

Try it! Jesus said that His sheep know His voice. Believe He is talking. Believe you can know His moment-by-moment leading.

Now “Go with what you have.” Just spend this day doing what you believe God is leading you to do at the moment. Your day will bring honor to God; it will bring blessing to others; it will bring fulfillment to you. And you will learn a little more about knowing and doing the will of God.

A prayer: Father I yield myself to your perfect will for my life for this day. I am available to you.
