JOINING THE TRINITY IN SPREADING GRACE

Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.  Hebrews 7:25

This passage informs believers that Jesus is praying for their spiritual growth. He is praying for us to experience God’s grace. Jesus made it possible for us to experience grace by dying as “The Last Adam” as planned by God the Father.

The Holy Spirit never ceases bringing believers to the life of grace through prompting them to experience their union with Christ—resulting in experiencing the abundant life (Romans 8:2). Romans 8:26 speaks of the Holy Spirit making intercession for believers. It is not difficult for us to believe that in His activities to bring believers to grace, the Holy Spirit also intercedes for this.

The Father, Son and Spirit are deeply involved in spreading grace. They desire and need us to join them. However, someone might say, “If the Father, Son and Spirit are that involved in spreading the message of grace, why do they need our involvement?”

First John 5:14-15 says that if we ask God to do something that He wills to do, He will answer our prayers. He wants us to be involved in the fruit bearing process.

What can one individual do to join the Trinity in spreading this essential message for victory in the Christian life and for power in Christian service?

Just as many of God’s children know how to tell a lost person how to be saved by grace, one can study and pray until God shows him how to tell Christians how to live by grace. Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, he can then effectively explain to another believer how to live his Christian life according to God’s plan and desire.

Perhaps the most important thing of all is praying for God’s children everywhere to desire, understand and experience the life of grace. An individual believer could join God the Son and God the Spirit in their intercession ministries for all believers.

Living by grace is essential for victory in experiencing the Christian life as planned and made available by God. Yet it seems to be almost totally unknown in the Christian world.
