god's spirit glorifying Jesus

He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.  John 16:14-15

Jesus is speaking about the Holy Spirit. One characteristic of the Spirit’s glorifying Jesus is revealing things about Jesus to His followers. Jesus declares all that the Father has also belongs to Him. Therefore, when the Holy Spirit declares things to us about Jesus, He is also glorifying the Father.

In this passage, Jesus is speaking about what the Holy Spirit will do when He comes to live in believers. He is also speaking about the Holy Spirit revealing Himself in His glorified position with the Father.

Many of God’s children live with a deep desire to know more about Jesus and more about His Father. These truths are available to all believers.

Furthermore, these truths are life changing. We grow spiritually as the Holy Spirit reveals characteristics about the Father and the Son that we have never seen before. New revelations about the Father and the Son always enhance our faith.

This is the reason Jesus could say in John 15:26-27 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.”

Even though we have not been with Jesus from the beginning, Jesus’ words are true about us.

All God-loving people have had those experiences when they could not wait to tell another believer what the Holy Spirit had revealed to them about the Father and the Son.

These truths show us our constant need to receive the filling of the Holy Spirit.
