The Arms of Jesus

And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.     Mark 10:16

What a beautiful picture of Jesus. Think of the pleasure Jesus experienced as he held the little children in his arms. Think of the blessing to the parents. Think of the sense of pleasure and acceptance experienced by the little children.

Today, little children need the feeling of pleasure and the sense of acceptance that those children felt when Jesus had his arms around them. And they can have that feeling.

There is a reference to Jesus in 1 Corinthians 6:13 that reads:

Now the body is … for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

The “body” referred to is the body of a believer. Your body is for the Lord (Jesus) and the Lord (Jesus) is for your body.

Just before Paul wrote the above statement he had written:

Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods …

God made foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods. The match is perfect. The body is for the Lord and the Lord for the body. The match is perfect.

When Jesus has your body, He has your arms. He will use them to satisfy his continuing desire to put His arms around little children.

And when Jesus uses your arms to hug little children, they will feel that sense of being loved and accepted.

“How can it be,” you might ask.

Take the five command approach and you will discover how it can be.
